About Me

My photo
I'm 18 years old, I'm a second quarter freshman in college. My major is chemistry, with a specialization in military science. I am a bit out there when it comes to being the down to earth type, usually I can keep my head and not go off into my own world, but most of the times I can't help it. My mind runs on about twenty different train tracks and I try to follow them all which gives me my crazy up in the clouds personality. I can be the sweet quiet one, until I get mad- then I'm the one you don't want to be around- but I usually keep my temper unless it is major. I'm a happy person in general and once I get comfortable I'll loosen up and be loud and laughing constantly.

Rock and Drunks

Every year in Dayton, for the past fifteen years, there has been a rock concert held within the Montgomery County Fair Grounds. There are up to ten well known/upcoming bands, five or six local bands from right in Dayton, a hundred security guards, twenty vendors, and 5000 drunks. This concert is hosted by 103.9 the X, it is X-Fest, one of the loudest, most exciting, crazy forms of entertainment that occurs in this city annually. Every year there are drunks that fight and get thrown out, then there’s the mess of people who are so laid back from smoking too much of the illegal plant everyone knows and most love. There’s the crowd surfers and mosh pitters and the ones that just want to hear good loud music. Every year I’ve been to X-Fest, I’ve come home after a day in the sun, hot, sunburned and drained. My ears are pounding, my feet are tired and my legs are sore, but at the end of the day when the music is done and the sun’s down, all the memories will still be there. Rock and Roll has been around for decades, it’s changed , it’s morphed and it’s grown to become the music we now have today, but the fans never change. The fans will always be the ones that have their radios blasting and are screaming (not singing) along to a harsh voice and loud guitar screeches.
X-Fest: Loud, crazy, hot, bright, drunks, plants, smoke, screeching, pounding head, intense, exciting, awesome, shocking and the common love that brings it all together- Rock And Roll Music.
